Give a Gift of Thanks

Thanksgiving is the day to give THANKS and a great way to give thanks is with a handmade gift. For example, you can create a bean mosiac, turkey centerpiece or thumb-print turkey. So give a gift they will feel really “THANKFUL” for.  There are many ways to say thank you for the hard work your family does. All you need to do is start with these simple activities. “HAPPY THANKSGIVING!”

Each year we construct a giant sculpture inside the Art Room, 

every student makes a small piece of its exterior.

Some of our favorite sculpture-building materials are carpet tubes, 

chicken wire, packaging paper and air pillows.

This year, we're creating a LEOPARD ... a very PATIENT and PERSISTENT animal.

"Art medium" refers to the art materials or artist supplies used to create a work of art. 

It's whatever you use to make a mark upon a surface.

5th graders created artwork that features one image across 3 different media: 

metal tooling, scratch paper, and pen & ink on paper.
