Self Portraits, 2nd grade

2nd graders created self-portraits using a variety of media: color pencils, permanent markers, tempera paint, watercolors, oil pastels, & chalk pastels. They focused on proportion in the face, foreground & background, and combining media to increase visual interest. 

These pieces are on display during the month of March in the MUNICIPAL BUILDING in downtown Harrison!

 First graders get up in our face creating giant close-up drawings

 with lines that touch the edge of the paper. 

A close-up is a zoomed-in, tightly framed image of a person or an object.
